When a medical emergency happens in the outdoors you will need to be able to treat injuries and illnesses with a minimum of kit and resources and you will have to rely on your knowledge and skill in first aid.

This course focuses on teaching you the first aid skills to be able to provide medical assistance in the outdoors when a patient is far away from professional emergency medical services.

All meals is included in the course and you will eat well on this course.

You will be issued with a waterproof survival basha that will be your shelter for the one night on the course. You will sleep dry, warm and comfortable.

No, you do not need to be fit to do this course as the skills learned does not require a lot of physical activity. You do the skills at your own pace.

Any person over the age of 16 years can attend the course on his/her own and if you are under the age of 16 you need to be accompanied by an adult. As long as you can hold a knife and understand the skills you can join the course.

Yes. The course is STASA (Survival Training Association of South-Africa) certified and you can add the qualification to your CV. You can also talk to the instructor on the course if you want more information on how to become involved in a career with Boswa Survival.
