This course is not an endurance course but is conducted in a safe and comfortable bush camp where you will learn all the important skills and enjoy a day in the outdoors.

This course is open to anyone regardless of age or physical ability. Kids under 16 years of age need parental consent to join and kids under the age of 13 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Where is the course held ?

This course is available at any of our Gauteng or Western Cape branches. Please go to our BRANCHES page to find the nearest branch to your location.

Meals are included and food items selected for your survival experience. You will not eat insects and weird foods unless you want to try it when we find it.

You will sleep under survival bashas as well as in natural shelters that you build yourself.

No, you do not need to be fit to do this course as the skills learned does not require a lot of physical activity. You do the skills at your own pace.

Do not buy kit before the course please contact us and we will gladly advise you to get the right kit.

Any person over the age of 16 years can attend the course on his/her own with parental consent and if you are under the age of 16 you need to be accompanied by an adult. As long as you can hold a knife and understand the skills you can join the course.

This is a great course to share with family and friends.

Yes. The course is STASA (Survival Training Association of South-Africa) certified and you can add the qualification to your CV. After the course you can talk to the instructor on the course if you want more information on how to become involved in a career with Boswa Survival.
