This training branch is located at the foothills of the magnificent ancient Magaliesberg mountains and you will be surrounded by breath-taking mountain views while you learn exciting new outdoor and survival skills.

The bushcamp is in a safe and private game farm with sables, blesbuck and zebras that are breeding on the farm. More than 100 bird species have already been identified on the farm and the cry of a fish eagle is often heard.

Directions from PRETORIA (80km from Centurion)

Take the N-14 to Krugersdorp. Turn right onto Hendrik Potgieter road. Travel for 10km and turn right onto the R563 (Hekpoort road) at the T-junction. Travel for 22.5km and turn right onto the R560 road direction Hartebeespoortdam. Travel for 2.5km and Boswa survival is on your left at the game fence thatched roof.

Directions from JOHANNESBURG (50km from Randburg)

Take the N-1 highway to Roodepoort. Take either the Gordon road or 14th Avenue turnoff and travel for 15km on Hendrik Potgieter road. Cross over the N-14 road and travel for 10km. Turn right onto the R563 (Hekpoort road) at the T-junction and travel for 22.5km. Turn right onto the R560 direction Hartebeespoortdam and travel for 2.5km. Boswa Survival is on your left at the game fence thatched roof.

Branch Instructors

Mike Henning

Mike is a senior instructor at Boswa Survival and have been teaching courses at the Gauteng training branch since 2021.

Marius Steyn

Marius did his first Boswa course in 2018 and have been teaching courses at the Gauteng training branch since 2022.

Jeremi Vogel

Jeremi is our dedicated knife making instructor and have been teaching courses at the Gauteng training branch since 2022.

Riana Eloff

Riana has been training with Boswa since 2018 and she is our dedicated Bush Medic instructor at the Gauteng training branch.

Michael Lourenco

Michael is new to the Boswa team having earned his intructor qualification in 2024. He teaches on courses at the Gauteng branch.
