2-Week Survival Gap Year Camp

This life skills camp is open to anyone over the age of 16 years.

On this internationally accredited adventure training camp you will learn amazing skills, experience adventure, gain valuable outdoor qualifications and learn life skills to be able to survive life !

On this survival adventure camp you will do the following :

  • Earn 12 STASA accredited outdoor qualifications for your CV including the elite RANGER qualification.

  • Get internationally accredited certification for outdoor adventure activities.  including …

  • Canoeing on natural water including sea rescue skills.

  • Mountain climbing and abseiling down a mountain.

  • Bike mechanics and mountain bike a dirt track trail though the most diverse fynbos wilderness in the world.

  • Learn survival skills that can save your life including expedition leader.

  • Learn how to fish, hunt and trap food in the field.

  • Learn  how to shoot a rifle and protect yourself against attack.

  • Experience what it feels like to be truly alive !

This camp is a 2-week survival and adventure gap year camp.

We start at 8h00 on day 1 and finish at 10h00 on day 14.

You will need the following kit to complete the camp :

  • Survival knife

  • Firesteel

  • Water bottle

  • Headlamp

  • Sleeping bag

  • Groundsheet

  • Waterproof jacket

  • Hat or cap

  • Notebook and pen

FULL KIT LIST IS PROVIDED AND DOWNLOADABLE FROM THIS CAMP PAGE.

On this camp you will sleep in tents. You will also build and sleep in survival shelters on the survival training days of the camp.

All meals and rations are provided on this camp and you will eat camp food prepared over a fire and also expect to eat some survival food on parts of the camp.
