This beginner knife making course is open to anyone over the age of 16 years.

This course is available at our Western Cape & Gauteng training branches.

  • How to select the right metal for your knife.

  • How to select and safely use the right tools for knife making.

  • How to safely use a gas forge.

  • How to shape a piece of metal into a knife blade.

  • How to temper and harden a knife blade.

  • How to finish a knife blade.

  • How to fit a handle to a knife.

  • How to sharpen a survival knife.

We start at 08h00 and finish at 16h00.

You will need the following kit to complete the course :

You do not sleep over for this course.

Due to the increasing special dietary requirements of people nowadays we do not provide meals for this course. Please bring your own lunch and snacks.
